Who We Are

Founded in 1910 and headquartered in New York City, the National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. Today, the National Urban League has 90 affiliates serving 300 communities, in 37 states and the District of Columbia, providing direct services that impact and improve the lives of more than 2 million people nationwide. The Urban League of Hillsborough County is currently in the process of reestablishing as an approved affiliate of the National Urban League.

The Urban League of Hillsborough County (ULHC) does not support or endorse any political candidate, political party or organization. The ULHC focuses on issues that support the equity and equality issues that pertain to the African American and minority communities of Hillsborough County.
